The key to getting more customers for your business is double-sided. On 1 side you need to attract customers to your business. The best way to do that is to send people that are in desperate need of your services to your business website. The other side of that coin is to convert those people from website visitors to customers.
Website Vs No Website
From the business owners, I have spoken with there seem to be 2 trains of thought. One side generally asks if having a website is really necessary. Other clients state they already have a website but still aren’t getting any customers.
Did I say you needed a website?
I suppose it’s sort of implied that you would need a website in order to send customers to it. If you can find a better way to introduce yourself to people searching online for businesses just like yours then go for it.
There are other ways to get customers without a website but it takes a lot of work and you have to have the pedal to the metal all the time. Otherwise, you’ll begin to lose traction and the leads will dry up.
My website isn’t working…
If you have a website but you aren’t getting very many customers from it, then you are probably missing part of the equation. Traffic! That’s right. I said the key to more customers is to send people looking for your services to your website.
On your website, you can inform your customers to help them to make an informed decision. You can also add customer reviews to your website to build your trust and authority.
Conversions = Conversations
In order to convert someone who visits your website from a visitor to a customer. You need to lead them from someone looking for help to making a call, text, or e-mail to engage in a conversation.
This engagement then gives you the opportunity to find out the problem your potential client is dealing with. You can then schedule a time to come out and schedule a time to service the client.
Increase Your Customer Engagement
If you are receiving plenty of traffic to your website but aren’t getting any calls or e-mails. Then it is time to re-evaluate your call to action. If you are not asking for the sale then you are leaving money on the table. Let me show you how you can increase your sales today.
My Secret To Traffic
There are 3 different traffic methods I use to drive traffic to my client’s businesses. The 1st is SEO, 2nd is Social Media Marketing and the 3rd is paid marketing through search engines, social and video.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
I use SEO techniques to optimize the website content to increase the ranking for the business in search engines like Google, Yahoo! and Bing. Once we achieve 1st-page rankings I work on additional content to grow the traffic month after month.
SEO is a long term traffic strategy that can take several months to begin bringing in traffic. This is why we generally accompany this service with paid ads that bring in immediate traffic.
Social Media Marketing
While most marketers use paid ads on social media platforms. I believe in using organic methods to grow social media traffic to your website. This traffic method is effective and cost efficient.
Paid Ads (Pay-Per-Click Advertising)
Paid ads are good ways to get immediate traffic but it is not a viable source for growing your business. Pay-Per-Click ad traffic is dependent on how large your budget is. Once the budget has been exhausted the traffic stops. This is why we encourage business owners to opt for other marketing methods when their budget allows.
